Yoga Pose ValhealingAs an LMT, (licensed massage therapist), I have learned how the body works. I have observed first hand what causes injury in bodies, and what helps to heal them. Because I would often see the same clients over and over again, not just for a relaxing massage, but for relief from pain, I decided I needed to learn more about how to help my people before they began to hurt.

I watched, listened and then I researched. What I found was this. There were three major categories of exercise I learned would help people to strengthen their core and improve flexibility:

Pilates

Yoga

Tai Chi

So I studied each of these. In fact I hired instructors to conduct classes until I grew proficient in each of these forms of exercise, and invited my people to attend right along side me. It turned out to be a blessing. Now my clients were armed against injury, they moved better and weren’t in as much pain. I still massaged them, but for an entirely different reason.

About Brevard Massage

I have been a personal trainer and massage therapist for many years now. My specialty is getting people moving again. I have learned through the years that preventing injuries is as important as relieving pain after an injury. To that end, I have also learned Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Pilates.
