drink your waterWater, the weight loss people claim if you drink it you will lose weight. The natural health movement claims you need it to keep your cells hydrated and you body in balance. So, remove the hype, and is water really good for you. In my opinion, yes.

I work with people every day. I can tell right away if they are properly hydrated or not. Their skin will be saggy and they will not look as healthy, especially in the hot Florida summers, hydration is absolutely essential. The trick is to drink enough to keep your body hydrated, but not enough to overwhelm your kidneys.

Here is what I recommend. Start your morning with a mug of warm water and lemon juice. Its a great way to get you self going for the day. Before you work out, drink some warm water, make sure you never work out when you are really thirsty. By the time you’re thirsty you are already dehydrated. So sip room temperature water.  After you work out, drink some cucumber water. It helps clean the toxins you build up when you work out, and it tastes refreshing.

Before dinner, have another glass of water are headed out for a night on the town, remember, have one glass of water for every alcoholic drink. It will keep you from becoming dehydrated, and it will slow  down the number of alcoholic drinks that you will consume.
