sunscreen protection for your skinWe have been bombarded with information about skin cancer and sun screen for years. But how often do we  take heed? There are so many mixed messages about what type of sunscreen is best and how healthy or unhealthy it is for us.  Then there are those of us who  hate the smell and feel of sun screens. I’m one of those. I also have skin that tans easily considering its fair and I do not lay out and worship he sun. So I often don’t think about the sun until I notice that I’m in it! So I decided to make things a little easier by keeping a sun hat in my car for when I take my dogs for walks and I have a small bottle of sun screen I use for my face and hands in the car.

I drive to and from appointments all day so my hands are on the steering wheel and they are  constantly exposed to the sun’s rays. I was shocked when I noticed that these brown age spots seemed to appear overnight! I am going to start using a product which should help with eliminating these brown spots. And now  I can hopefully prevent them from becoming worse by applying sunscreen at red lights. I also know to inspect them every so often to notice if they darken or get flaky and itchy. I have found spots on friends over the years they they hadn’t noticed. You could help a friend out by putting a white t shirt on her and marking the spots that are on their skin. You can even make notes of any that you’re watching and when you noticed a change. This can help your skin care doctor keep track of suspicious spots.
