I don’t care whether you are fat, skinny, short, tall, black, white, yellow or tan. The spirits of Yoga don’t care what you look like, they only care that you find something of yourself in the practice of Yoga. That you find some flexibility where there was none. Yoga wants to help you with your pain, both physical and emotional.
You don’t have to have the perfect body, the perfect form, you simply have to have the will to let go, try the poses and let the energy flow through your body. When you are done, be more aware of your body, stand proud with your feet grounded and your knees soft. Do this often and soon you will find your body and mind feeling different. More connected, more rooted, less feeling stressed, more feelings of strength and serenity.
We are all a part of this earth, and the more time we spend in our heads, sitting and watching the news, worrying about things we can’t control, the more we hurt our bodies and minds. The more often we turn those things off and spend time connecting with our souls, the better we will look and feel.
