How does massage therapy help with pain relief?

The power of touch almost magical. Studies have shown that children who aren’t held enough experience severe emotional and physical delays.  They also show that adults who, for whatever reason, aren’t getting enough physical contact, can go into a decline. Healing touch is the most beneficial, but in a pinch a good hug always helps. Touch is a powerful tool for healing and I know because that is part of what I do. So, how does massage therapy help with pain relief?

Massage Therapy means I work the tense muscles and stretch them until all the pain moves out of those areas and I help people to relax and feel their pain subside.  Because I am also an intuitive, I listen and feel what is going on with a client’s body as I massage them. I can feel if there are deposits in certain areas which are caused by past injuries and perform deep tissue massage to break up those deposits.

I have also been trained in Pilates and Tai Chi, so I am able to help my clients to stretch those areas which need to get back in motion, and  I am able to identify  areas on your body that can use relief. I also use essential Oils from DoTerra in my work with clients. Not only do they smell lovely, but help with healing our bodies. The Deep Blue Rub is on that people love for deep tissue massage and pain relief. For relaxation and rejuvenation, blended oils like AromaTouch – This is a blend of Basil, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Lavender, Cypress and Marjoram. This blend helps reduce inflammation and helps muscles relax.

Regular massage, over a period of time, and workouts that are less strenuous and more about warming up and loosening tense muscles can also help. I can tell you it works because I have witnessed it myself in my clients, time after time.
