Massage for Seniors? Absolutely.

All those aches and pains we often associate with aging, just because you are over 65, that doesn’t mean the only way to relieve pain, or stress is with a pill. With the advent of the opioid crisis, more and more of us want to avoid strong pain relievers at all costs. Don’t get me wrong, Sometimes pills do help, but there are other ways to help as well.

To that end, throughout the years I have learned of remedies other than pills that help people with inflammation and pain. Massage is one way to relieve pain. Another is the gentle stretching of tightened muscles. Yoga is a great way to quiet both the mind and warm the body.

Another non-traditional remedy is CBD Oil. CBD oil is an extract of the marijuana plant but without THC, the “getting high and eating pizza” component. It has been shown to relieve pain and stress and is especially good for certain types of chronic illnesses.
