I, Valentina Boonstra, am a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, and I help people recover from surgery. A couple of days a week I also work at Sara Care. For over 30 years I have been in business in Brevard County.  It’s my home, and I feel very loving and connected to my community and the wonderful people I have had the honor of serving.

What you might not already know about me is that I also help business owners with seminars where I teach their people how to stay healthy and move properly so as to prevent injury. It is my passion. Injury in the workplace through improper movement can cause physical and emotional distress. I have seen it firsthand.

After a lot of thought, I decided to name this workshop portion of my business Intrinsic Connections.

It is a play on words because the muscles that are intrinsic in your structure are the ones that connect your muscles together in order to form your posture. I also believe that we are intrinsically connected to our community.

I want to share this with people who work with their bodies to help them move more efficiently and do their work without harming themselves.

The reason I decided to start teaching classes in various places in my community it’s because I felt like I had acquired enough knowledge about body structure to be able to share it with people. The habitual patterns that put us in chronic pain need to be addressed to have lasting results of pain relief.

If you read my blog then you will understand that I have studied of number of modalities over the years that help people to recover from injury and stay strong after they recover.

I have developed a routine that is a combination of Qi Gong, Pilates, and Yoga. I have distilled the most effective exercises from each modality that people can do consistently to prevent repetitive injuries. It also shows people how to become more aware of how they move their bodies when they do everyday activities.

Whether that is running a vacuum cleaner, typing at a computer, or picking up your children or loved ones that you may be caring for.

If you work with staff and they help people with movement or recovery, please give me a call and we can set up a time to talk about a seminar for your people.

About Brevard Massage

I have been a personal trainer and massage therapist for many years now. My specialty is getting people moving again. I have learned through the years that preventing injuries is as important as relieving pain after an injury. To that end, I have also learned Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Pilates.
